Unit conversions

This module provides convenience conversions often used in survey workflows. The conversions are intended as practical calculator functions.

Density conversions

• 15°C vacuum → 15°C air: converts absolute density to apparent density.
• 15°C air → 15°C vacuum: reverse conversion.
• Relative density @15°C: based on a reference density of water.
• API ↔ relative density @60/60°F: API gravity to relative density.

Volume/weight conversions

• m³ @15°C ↔ Long tons (in air): converts a standard volume to weight using apparent density.
• m³ @15°C ↔ bbl @60°F: uses CTL/VCF internally (high-level behaviour only).

Notes

• If a conversion depends on CTL/VCF, treat the result as a calculation aid.
• Always confirm your units (kg/m³ vs kg/L, °C vs °F, m³ vs bbl).
